What's the main element that keeps people going, striving their best , or keep on struggling in this complicated world? To me , other than the elements that feed our physical needs,
eg Oxygen, water, food , etc ,
HOPE is the element that feeds our soul and mind and keeps us alive.
We have hopes.. we are given hopes.. therefore we believe that things will be better , maybe the next seconds, minutes, hours, days or years to come.
People never stop seeking for hopes. I wish to get a better result in my next test,and so I do my revision. Tommy hopes that he will find someone that he really loves someday, hence he never stop searching and dating . Danny hopes to get eternal life , and so he attends church;
Cheong hopes that he will be rich one day, hence everyday he lingers at the Magnum counter everyday......
Once a person loses hope , there's nothing left for him to keep going. Daisy jumped down from the apartment because she was hopeless in her relationship with her husband.
Cerene asks for euthanasia as she has nothing but suffering from her illness. Allan left nothing but debts to his daughters , he felt that he could do nothing with all these " Along" and stress he had encountered.
Hope , never lose hope, otherwise you'll lose everything.However, how many of us do understand the meaning of hope?
A real hope will help us to improve, towards a better living. It helps us to focus to the right thing that we should do. Regardless of the outcome, (cause it doesn't mean that you will get what you really hope for in the end!!), it is the process that is much more important.
A fake hope , lead us to the wrong way -- maybe the end of our life, or other people's.
For instance, hoping to get a fortune from the activity of gambling. If you strike the lottery, you are lucky. How many of the gamblers on this world is
so lucky?
Once my dad told me that , if you don't gamble, you lose the hope. That was like when I was in my 12 , or 14 years old. I couldn't say anything. I was stupid enough not to debate with him. Maybe at that time , things that I know are not much.
Looking back all these year, what he has done to the family, I realise that what 's the meaning of clinging on a fake hope that devils have given to you. It's a temptation which will lead you to nowhere but destruction of life.
Yes, we must hope for the better. We can fantasy. But we must be realistic and practical. Many a times, people that lives on wrong believe, getting the wrong hope, having the wrong
attitude, are usually irresponsible. You might be enjoying yourself at the short duration of time, but other people are suffering because of what you're believing. These hopes will make these people to be more selfish, self -centered, and lose their self esteem in the end as they can't think and act properly.
A hope might be an abstract one. You can't see, you can't hear, you can't touch, but it does not mean that it is impractical, or it is a fake one. Believing in God seems to be impossible, and so abstract to some people." Is it real? Is that a one true God? Is there is real eternity after this life? " Do you think all these questions are important? No , not really. It 's not just believing and having the faith, it is what this hope will lead you to , in the process and till the end. Not only you, but as well as the people around you, your love one.
Forget about the fake hope, look around you, where there is love (not lust), there is hope, where there is hope, there is life. What we need is always there, hence open our heart and eyes , see things through and take it! It is not a shame if we make the first move; it is how stupid we are if we just stand here and never get something done.
Live for now and then we'll live forever.
